“Tappa” is a beautiful registered 16 year old Icelandic mare standing 13.3 hands high. Tappa is the sweetest pony you’ll meet. She absolutely adores attention and being groomed and pampered. Tappa knows her ground manners and does not get in your space. She knows all about round pen work as well. She turns off of hand cues free lunging, picks up all gaits by voice but the canter takes a couple asks, she stops and comes to you. She will follow you around like a puppy with no halter or lead. Tappa stands in cross ties or tied to the trailer. She loads onto anything you ask of her and travels great. Tappa stands patiently for you to tack her up and takes a bit with ease.

Under saddle, Tappa will stand for you to mount and get situated. She will stand next to a block, tree, truck bed, whatever you decide to use she will stand next to. Tappa picks up all three gaits and comes back down to a walk from the canter easily. She has not been taught to tolt. She is very smart and with a trainer I’m sure she would do it. Tappa will open and close gates and side pass. This girl rides in a simple snaffle and is light on her mouth. She will ride English or western. She is a great step up pony for a kid looking. In a ring, an experienced child can ride her. Out and about she’s best suited for an intermediate rider and up. We have used this lovely girl for lead-line pony rides and she is always on her best behavior. She doesn’t mind when a rider becomes off balance or starts leaning forward or backwards giggling while they’re riding. She can take a joke! We have popped her over small obstacles and she never skips a beat, we have not introduced her to a course but I do believe she would be super cute going over fences! This girl will hack out alone or in a group, she will lead, follow, or ride in the middle of a group. She has never bucked, reared, or bolted with us. This girl is not the jumpy/spooky type but she is aware of her surroundings. She is level headed and takes everything with a grain of salt. Tappa has no nasty habits in the barn, on the ground, or under saddle.
