Timber aka Shome ASA is a 9 year old registered Norwegian Fjord gelding. Foaled May 16, 2014 and registered with the NFHR. Dun with a dorsal stripe and zebra striping. Beautiful head, big kind eyes and built the way a Fjord is supposed to be built. He’s stocky and has a lot of shape. Timber stands 14.3 hands but is big enough for any rider. This horse has only had two owners his whole life and has always been well cared for and handled correctly. He has that typical easy going, super sweet disposition that the Fjord breed is known for. This guy is not only super cute but he’s also super safe and quiet. He is safe for all ages and all levels of riders. If you’re looking for an all around family horse, kids horse, beginner horse, husband horse, trail horse, lesson horse, therapy horse don’t pass Timber by. He could go do anything as far as being someone’s best friend and pleasure horse. Walks, trots and canters. Rides with more whoa than go. His canter does take a little encouragement with a crop or spur because walking and trotting are definitely more his speed but he’s honest and willing to canter. Stands at the mounting block and does not walk off until you tell him. He will walk along on a nice loose rein all day long and has a jog you can sit to comfortably. Good brakes and backs up. He has a nice soft mouth and rides in a snaffle bit. Timber is more than willing to do ring work and does it well and willingly. This gelding is awesome on the trails and totally unflappable. He doesn’t spook or look at a thing and he is completely road, traffic, truck, car, motorcycle safe. Rides with a nice level head and on the buckle. Timber will trail ride alone or in a group. He has no buck, rear or bolt and you don’t have to lunge him even if he has time off. This is a tack up and go kind of horse. Timber is the kind you can have fun on, be safe and relax on. In the videos the little boy is only 5 years old. This horse loves kids and has the upmost respect for kids. When he sees a child, he does not take his eyes off of them and he definitely gravitates towards children. He is not pushy at all like some Fjords can be. No vices what so ever and 100% sound. He is currently wearing front shoes just because our ground is so hard and frozen right now anywhere out of the indoor arena but we had him barefoot with no issues what so ever. He has excellent feet and nice big hooves. Very easy keeper and stays fat on air. He’s great to have around the barn and has a very in your pocket personality. He’ll take all the attention and treats he can get. Cross ties, clips, bathes, trailers, picks his feet, good for farrier, good to saddle and easy to bridle. If you’ve been looking for a stocky built, registered Norwegian Fjord gelding with a great brain don’t pass Timber by. This guy is worth his weight in gold and it helps that he’s just so darn cute!
