Looking for a quiet, dependable trail horse that is responsive without being overly complicated? River may be the mare you've been looking for. ❤️

River is a sensible, enjoyable mare who is comfortable riding down the road, through the woods, and out on the trails. She will walk, trot, and lope and pays attention to what her rider is asking.

River is best suited for an advanced beginner or above because she is responsive to rider cues. When you ask her to do something, she will do her best to respond. A brand-new beginner can sometimes give cues without realizing it and accidentally ask for something they didn't intend. That's why we feel River is a better match for a rider who already understands the basic riding cues.
