Meet Leo, a sharp-looking, very cute, black and white Paint Quarter Horse gelding with the kind of color that makes people stop and look.
Leo is 6 years old, stands around 14 hands, and has a good, balanced way of carrying himself. He is not a huge horse, but he has a nice handy size that many riders appreciate. He is big enough to ride and enjoy, but not so tall that he feels intimidating to be around.
Leo has a good-natured and willing attitude. He is easy to catch, leads well, saddles well, bridles easily, and takes the bit without protest. He stands for mounting and has been described as well-trained and honest. He will willingly load in a trailer and is good around other horses and dogs.
Under saddle, Leo shows a willing way of going and appears to have plenty of handle for someone who wants a nice riding horse. He has had some trail riding experience and would likely make a very enjoyable horse for someone wanting a flashy gelding to ride, continue using, and enjoy.
Because Leo is still only 6 years old, I would call him best suited for a rider with at least a little experience. He may work for a beginner with guidance, but he would probably shine best with a confident novice or intermediate rider who can enjoy a younger, handy, good-minded gelding.
He is in good health, sound, and has a current Coggins. He is not registered. We have a farrier on staff, and delivery can be easily arranged for a small fee.
Leo is being offered because the kids went to college, and he is ready for his next chapter with someone who will put him to use and enjoy him.
