Bugsy is an 11-year-old, stunning bay gelding standing at 15 hands tall. He is handsome, sweet natured and gentle. Bugsy is very laid back and gentle with a calm demeanor. He excels primarily as a trail and pleasure horse. Bugsy goes under both English and western tack and has ample experience with both disciplines. Bugsy’s movement is collected and easy going. We would not describe him as a forward or quick horse in regard to his movement. His transitions are wonderfully smooth, and he has a fantastic stop. He reins primarily two handed, collects easily, works off leg and is soft in the bridle. He works well in the arena; he is well balanced and pleasurable. Bugsy has some low-level show experience, he would be an ideal 4H horse and we feel he is also an excellent western dressage prospect. He would be a great fit for a riding program that could utilize a horse that goes both English and western. Bugsy is a lovely trail horse. He will ride out alone or in a group and does not have a spooky nature. He does not have any barn or herd boundary tendencies and is always willing. Thick brush, trees, water, steep inclines etc. none are a problem and he handles them all with ease and he especially loves the water! Bugsy does have some experience with light ranch work. He has been used to gather and check cattle and move calves from pen to pen. Bugsy is a versatile and quiet gelding that will be a great one on one partner or an addition to a program. He is an easy keeper, can be pastured or stalled, requires no maintenance and is completely sound.
