Done local parade, been under fireworks, never freaked out. Rides double, carries a flag or tarp; bows on command (for a treat!) Won prizes & ribbons. Always a ton of compliments on his color, personality + disposition; tremendous riding horse, & genuine pleasure to be around.
Had him since a yearling, done all his training; @ 3 yrs used him to give lessons, loves kids & hugs. Friendly, super fun to ride and to be around. Grit to give a full day chasing cattle through brush and not play out. Miles of riding, along highways and in town; totally traffic safe, even semis!
Crosses water, bridges, logs. Swing a rope off him, tow logs; pony colts, work a herd in any terrain… great in rough country & steep hills. Takes both leads, side passes, opens gates, backs & neck reins. Easily catch him in the pasture & ride him double, bare back in a halter, sidles to a stump for mounting.
Walks out boldly, has out-paced some gaited horses. Straight from pasture, took him on a week long trail ride with 80+ other horses and mules; folks kept remarking how well behaved, & level headed he was amongst strangers. Did an 11 mile all-day ride and camp out. Towed a boat around a pond, never flinched, even when it floated up and bumped into his hip. No spook, not cinchy or cold backed. Super polite ground manners, good with his feet. Stout bone, strong feet. Will walk over rocky ground a lot of horses would be tender on. Very sound.
Goes back to a ton of old greats like Plaudit, Bright Eyes Brother, Kiowa Brave, WigWam & more.
