**14.1hh Gentle Senior Gelding – Quiet Rescue, Easy to Handle**
Benny is a kind, easygoing gelding standing about 14.1 hands and estimated 18–19 years old. He came to us earlier this year through a sheriff-assisted neglect case and has been steadily improving with consistent care, nutrition, farrier work, and veterinary attention.
Since arriving, he has received dental work, deworming, and ongoing maintenance as he rebuilds condition. He was significantly underweight at intake, but he is now gaining steadily, filling out, and improving in overall strength and appearance. His feet are on a regular trimming schedule and continuing to strengthen with routine care.
Benny is simple and steady on the ground. He is easy to catch, lead, load, and handle. He stands quietly for grooming, vet work, and farrier visits, and has been cooperative through every step of his recovery. He enjoys attention without being demanding and settles well in a calm herd setting.
We were told by his previous owner that he had been ridden in the past. At this time, he is **not being ridden** while he continues to regain weight and body condition, as his focus is strictly on recovery and rebuilding strength.
