Description

~All Around Cattle Horse, Team Penning, Team Sorting, Breakaway Roping, Team Roping, Trail Horse Deluxe, 4H, Rodeo, WSCA Prospect~

Meet Dolly a 10 yr old (vet checked) 14.2-14.3hh Grade Mare who if you're looking for something to go have fun working cattle in any way on or even just going down the trail check this girl out!! She also gets comments about her looks everywhere she goes, she's become a farm favorite for many reasons! (pictures don't do her justice)

She does so much and is a blast to ride and will give you 110% all the time. She's for intermediate riders on up as she is very responsive and has a big work ethic! I've used her in team penning and sorting, others have jump rode her and used her for our sorting and Penning practice as well, one of the guys heeled on her and one of the girls at the farm has gotten better from using her to practice breakaway on as well! She was sold as being a rodeo mare doing barrels and poles as well with breakaway and goats.

She's definitely been used for roping I would say more for just breakaway then team roping but with some fine tuning could do both. She's calm in the box, knows how to track the dummy and live cattle, she is an absolute blast to ride while working cattle in general as you can do fence runs on her, she's quick and catty and just flat out fun to ride. But she does have energy in the arena and if you ride her hot she can get hot. On the trail she's an absolute dream and takes a nice easy pace, not hot at all and walks right off! In the arena we've done a lot of mental work to create and keep a level headed horses and she's calmed down quite a bit, softened to the bridle and is starting to work really nice on the finer sides of riding. W/T/L easy both directions, nice stop, pivots, softening more to her counter arcs, neck reins, moves off legs lightly. Stands tied nicely, loads right up, backs right out, good for the farrier and vet, rides bareback and with just a halter and lead. I have messed with her on the patterns and I wouldn't say she's finished in barrels and poles but seems to have been exposed and definitely has the potential to make a nice barrel and pole horse. We do ride her in a tie down while roping but I don't use one just general riding or sorting/Penning on her.

Her only vice is she's a wind sucker, she Doesn't crib and chew anything up she just presses her top teeth down and sucks air. To me she's not annoying about it and every horse has their vice and this one's hers.

Located in North Branch, MN

Check out her full video, her roping videos are at the end.
