Amarillo is a 7yo 16.1 hand APHA registered gelding that is 5 star all around, the perfect size for anyone to ride, the best mind for any level rider, and the most stunning palamino paint gelding you’d ever lay your eyes on! Although color is a bonus, I’d like to say that demeanor, brains, and temperament is what truly makes a good horse, and Amarillo has all of those plus the color ! Amarillo is the kind of horse you walk out in the field and he comes jogging up to you, he lowers his head to put his halter on and is truly a sweetheart ! He stands to be tacked up, stands to mount whether it’s from the ground, or the mounting block, he has a nice walk to him and a jog and lope to die for ! Amarillo has been on the trails, and crosses everything with ease, whether it be a creek or an obstacle course he’s always happy to please and do what’s asked of him at all times. We purchased Amarillo from the women who raised him since he was a yearling, he’s known nothing but love and had a correct horseman for training his entire life. Although Amarillo may be large, he absolutely adores children and is always happy to tote them around the arena or the trail ! He will pick up both of his leads, he jogs nice and level headed on the walls or a circle, and stops on whoa. Amarillo is very forgiving to the novice riders and doesn’t take wrong directions to heart, we like to say, “big or small Amarillo loves them all”! We believe Amarillo would make a phenomenal hunter under saddle, a husband horse, lesson horse, or as he does best right now, a good ole honest trail horse ! Amarillo is easy to load, stall, bathe, and is truly just a big yellow lab that accidentally got labeled as an equine !
