Maya would be a good mount for an experienced, confident youth or equivalent with soft hands. I would like to say not for beginners but I have put people who’ve never been on a horse before on her, even on the road and trails and she did great. Reason I say not for beginners is she’s
got the sass and the spunk(which is definitely not a negative thing) plus a tiny bit of spook. She will not blow her top off but will look at things which is intimidating to beginners. Also has some serious speed. She can sit for months and ride the same. I could see this mare going in any direction. Rodeo, ranching, penning, or pleasure. Great stop and roll backs. Voice commands. She is very in your pocket, always greets you with a nicker and meets you at the fence. I am unsure of her past, she was sold to me as a trail horse that had been sitting for 2 or more years. I have re-started her and she is a great mare with an awesome heart and very willing to learn all the things you throw at her. She goes western, bareback in a halter, and I have not put an English saddle on her but am confident she would do fine. Solid walk/trot/canter. Good on the road. No buck/bolt/bite/rear/kick and an easy keeper. Up to date on everything and currently has front shoes. Has great feet but needs shoes with vigorous riding.
To an approved home only, this horse has stolen a piece of my heart and I want only the best for her.
