“Preacher” is a 18.1H (YES THAT’S RIGHT) 12 yr old black Percheron gelding. If you’re looking for BIG, BROKE and GENTLE, you don’t want to miss this guy! Preacher is the most broke draft horse I’ve ever swung a leg over! Not only is he BROKE, he’s definitely the very most comfortable, cloud like horse we’ve ever offered. He FLOATS, and is absolutely smooth at all gaits. He is safe for ALL levels, if you can hold the reins, you can ride this guy! He neck reins like a little one, and on top of that he pulls a cart single and double! He was used as a police horse in Chicago, where he mainly was armored up while on duty at big outdoor concerts. Sadly his partner in crime (literally) passed away and the department decided to get him into a loving home and retire him. This guy is SAFE and handy broke for a draft! You won’t find one thing you don’t like about Preacher! He stalls great, turns out great and gets along with everyone! He’s super easy to catch, absolutely stands gentle to saddle/brush and is one you can hop on any day of the week and TRUST. He is so versatile and would fit any lifestyle. From English to western, to kid lessons, to ranch pleasure, to ranching (yes he’s been roped off of a handful of times) to farm work pulling wagons, he can do it ALL! He may be big but he’s one of the very most gentle, sane horses you’ll find and he’s one you’ll throughly ENJOY every time you swing (launch) a leg over him. Preacher will stand at any object to mount and he’ll be patient once his rider is up there to allow them to get situated. He will always wait for directions and is never antsy or presumptive. He is UTD on coggins, teeth (age verified) and feet and ready for his new home! He will have slight urinary incontinence, worst when he’s bored!
