BERT is sired by our Registered Percheron stallion, TINY (Registered name Glenview Kane) and is out of a Registered APHA Pearlino paint mare that his Hollywood Dun It and Doc's Sug (By Doc Bar) on her papers. Her sire is a winning Cow Horse. His sire, Dunit With A Twist, earned over $100,000.00 cutting. His dam Peppymint Twist, is by 'Little Peppy', and she won over $300,000.00. Tiny's colts are all 'born broke' and offer less resistance than any horses we have ever raised. [We've been raising great saddle horses for over 50 years.]
BERT will go anywhere you point her head. She has been exceptionally easy to train. She stands perfectly still for saddling, mounting, and anywhere you want her to. She loads when you point her toward the trailer. She rides in an open stock trailer with other horses like any other 'gelding' would. She is easy to shoe, bathe, ties anywhere. She pony's other horses and pulls hard off of the saddle horn.
She is the first to meet you at the gate. She loves people, but is very well mannered and never 'in your face'. She is young (even though she rides like she is 8 or 10) and would benefit from more 'handle' and more finish training. She could be a contender in the Stock Horse contests if a person wanted to go that direction. Many of Tiny's get have been used on big ranches and in the rodeo arena handling roughstock and as pickup horses. We breed several mares each year for professional rodeo cowboys and ranchers.
BERT is not your ordinary draft cross. She is NOT clunky or plain headed (none of Tiny's colts are). She handles herself well and does everything o he hind end like a good Quarter Horse does.
