Meet Dorado, a gorgeous Palomino Azteca gelding. He is five years old, very athletic, and loves to go! He has so much potential, but is just too much horse for me right now. He is completely broke, and has had a lot of rides on him. I’m in high school, and just don’t have the time to invest in such a young horse. If you have experience, and are looking for a horse who has potential for just about any discipline you can think of, then this is the horse for you!!! I would consider him to be good for an intermediate rider who knows what they’re doing. I think he has a lot of potential to be a barrel racer or for other western sports.
He is very good at neck reigning, and isn’t scared at all by vehicles, atvs, dirt bikes, trains, and construction vehicles, although sometimes he spooks at leaves, or moving bushes. He’s been out on the trail a few times, and did ok. In the arena, he is a champ. I have trailered him several times, and he did fine.
I’m definitely sad to part with him, but I don’t feel like it’s fair to him to only ride him every few weeks, and I would love for him to be able to go to a home where he can live up to his full potential!
