Utah Man Reunited With Horse After 8 Years Apart
News General Equestrian
"Old-Man" - my son's main horse, total packer, great "first lope" horse. Slow, solid, and easy enough for anyone - but still a lot of handle and ability to do events too. He rides super solid and easy, very nice lope off, always catches his leads, big stop, backs up, turns around easy both ways. Super easy through the playday pattern, patterned enough to teach brand new ones, but push style, and not going to blast through and scare anyone. Extremely solid confidence builder. He has been roped off of, used for tons of playdays, done the mounted shooting, carried entry flags. He goes really fancy English too, and has done lower level dressage, eventing, and fox trial-ed!!! Has been camped on, trail rode all-over the country, and seen it all. Superb ground manners, gets along in any herd, loves being barn kept. Loads, hauls, stands tied anywhere, quiet for mount and dismount, quiet for vet and farrier, grooming, easy to saddle, bridle, bathe, clip, etc. You do not see these every day!
