This handsome fella checks all the boxes: Broke, gentle, built to last AND colored up! Little Joe has a lot of presence and turns heads everywhere he goes! Calm demeanor, and loving attitude, he has been a favorite since the day he arrived here. He stands 15 hands and is only 7 years old. Little Joe is a very honest, dependable, and uncomplicated horse on the trail or in the arena, most anyone will be able to enjoy him! He has a great handle that makes him enjoyable whether you’re riding inside or outside of the arena. Little Joe has even been used in Colorado for Elk hunts, where he was exposed to some of the roughest terrain. Crossing creeks, logs, down slippery banks, through the mud, he’s perfectly capable and does all with ease. He has lots of experience on trails and would make someone the perfect trail partner! He will walk, trot and has a nice lope, neck rein, he will back up and pick up both leads with ease. He will collect his head when asked and rides all day on a loose rein. He’s been ridden western and english. Little Joe is the type that can take time off and ride the same every time. He is Level-headed, sane, kind, and honest. Whether it's on the trails or in the arena, he’ll pack a rider wherever they point him.This gelding is an absolute gentleman for the farrier. Little Joe loves to be groomed, he stands perfectly still to be bridled, saddled & mounted. He will not walk off or rush you to get on. He is very patient & happy to wait.
