A Foxy Cat aka Blackjack is a well built 15hh, 2013 model, registered APHA, Black Tobiano Gelding. His pedigree goes back to High Brow Cat on the top side and Doc O’lena on the bottom. He is one of the friendliest horses that you will find! He loves attention! Blackjack is a horse for all jobs, from any job on the ranch, to trails up in the mountains, put him in the ranch classes or back him in the box and collect a check… he will do it all and do it all- RIGHT! He handles all terrains on the trails, from steep slopes to rough rocky areas, Blackjack has safely carried our girls through some rough spots! In addition to the kids trail riding him, he has been used around the ranch for various task from herding to sorting, pasture roping and doctoring. We have also used him at the stockyards penning cattle. Blackjack is a super gentle, laid back type of horse that is gentle enough for all levels of riders! He has a smooth jog, takes his leads in a nice lope, slide stops, spins both ways, sidepasses to open/shut gates and backs with ease. Blackjack has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife such as elk, deer or turkey and dogs as well. He is the same horse whether ridden daily or even if he is left in the pasture for an extended period of time.
