The Double Ring Surcingle is another way to convert an Aussie saddle to girth Western style. This surcingle would take the place of the traditional overgirth. Once installed, the d-rings from the surcingle will sit just under the openings in the side flaps. This is so that the d-rings will stay in the same place and be stable for girthing. When girthing Western style using the double ring surcingle, the billet straps attached to the saddle will not be used for anything and will just hang out.
The Width only refers to how wide the middle of the surcingle gets. It has no effect on the length of the item.
