Cherokee Bay Gelding for sale in South Carolina

“Cherokee” is a grade, 14 year old, quarter horse gelding that stands 15 hands and stocky built. This guy is the true meaning of a trail horse deluxe. Cherokee will literally go anywhere you ask him without putting up a fight. He stands quietly to be tacked up, easy to bridle and loves to be groomed. Cherokee will cross ditches, walk through mud puddles, rides in mud, over hills, through our obstacle course, over the bridge, in thick brush, traffic safe and over logs. He has a very comfortable jog and lope. Cherokee neck reins, backs and has a great stop. (Rides in a D ring snaffle bit) He is not spooky and very easy to handle. His previous owner used him to Deer hunt. (shoot deer off his back) The only reason he is for sale is because his previous owner is an elderly man that needed back surgery and can no longer ride. Cherokee is the absolute easiest horse to get along with, laid back and very easy going. We haven’t found anything to spook or rattle this big guy. He rides with or without a group and is NOT barn sour. He loads well and backs off with ease. This guy has amazing ground manners and just a pleasure to be around. He can be a little hard to catch but shake a bucket and this fat guy can’t resist.  Cherokee is NOT and will NOT be your next barrel, lesson, play day or arena horse he does not enjoy arena work. He will tote your husband, grandma, grandkids ect with no fuss. Please talk to your husband, wife, grandma, aunt, trainer or the keeper of the money before inquiring. Please come with cash, trailer or shipping arrangements in mind. We will NOT hold without a non refundable deposit placed and it will be 15.00 a day up  to two weeks. We can deliver for a fee. PPEs are always welcome at buyers expense and vet of your choice. If you don’t have a local vet you are welcome to use ours.
