This mare has been with me for years and I am needing a step up mount.
She has done
- Hunter paces
- small jumps
- English and western riding
- pulled tarps behind her
- pulled tires
- used a chainsaw off her to cut trails
- pushed cows
- swims with a rider
- rides on the lake bottom
Kid broke, bomb proof type. I use her for those non horse type people, kids (my 10 year old rides her alone). I’m 5’ 7” and she fits me perfect.
This mare stays fat on pasture/hay with 1/2 scoop of soaked alfalfa in the winter. In the summer time just hay and pasture.
She has been to GA, Cades cove, NC and KY with me.
I have owned this mare since she was 6 and I do not want to sell her however, I really have wasted 4 years of waiting for a step up horse due to not wanting to face the facts that this mare isn’t going to continue to take me where I need to go. I would trust this mare with anyone and to go anywhere.
She wants to continue to work and I don’t have the work load or ability to keep her in work. She has been used as a trail horse / guide horse a stables as a loaner/lease to them before.
She wears my brand as I have trained her.
I am pretty firm on my price or trade for a OTTB or Thoroughbred.
