AQHA Finished Barrel Horse for sale in Texas

Hollywood is a 14 yo blue roan mare standing 15.2. She’s finished in barrels and poles, and knows all the play day events. I was told she has had breakaway experience and was used to help push cattle, but we don’t rope nor have videos of her doing that. She was previously running 3D/4D open and 2D/3D youth. She has been turned out since end of August. We bought her for a girl in the family to high school rodeo on. Holly was hauled independently to lessons 1-2 time a week for a few months but quit being hauled when the rider quit practicing at home. The girl riding Holly was 14 and had minimal riding skills and experience around horses. Holly always did what the rider asked and went the speed asked. Holly would trot all day and pick up a lope when the rider was ready. Holly does slow work and can trot and lope the pattern calm and level headed. Holly moves well off of your seat and body position. Holly was used as a lesson horse for our girl to learn to ride and learn barrels semi-simultaneously. She was very forgiving when the rider gave the wrong que or didn’t do something right. The rider has since lost interest and doesn’t ride nor mess with Holly anymore. She was tuned up and being worked regularly when we bought her and was being worked consistently for a few months. She has since been turned out. She was always the same horse heather she was worked every day or once every few weeks. She should be very easy to bring back into work.
