Dottie used to be a therapy pony, but now she's living the good life in Laguna Woods. She is suitable for pleasure riding, ring work, and she's a great trail pony. There are some trails right off site. While I strongly prefer that she be ridden at her home site, she loads easily, and I would consider allowing her to be trailered to other trail sites for the right person - once I get to know you and give approval.
Dottie is sound, and can be ridden gently at the walk, trot, and canter. She also does well with obstacle courses during play days at the barn, but I don't want her to be jumped. While she's not sophisticated in her training, I've taught her to turn on the forehand and do the side pass. I use a hackamore, and Dottie will yield to leg pressure, and respond to direct and neck reining. She also pees and poops on command (most of the time).
You will be expected to help with evening barn chores 3-4 times per week. This includes giving Dottie her supplements, and doing a thorough evening cleaning of her stall so that she has a fresh place to sleep, as well as clean water. I also need you to assist with keeping the tack oiled and conditioned. I’m a down-to-earth no drama person, and expect the same from you.
I am only interested in leasing Dottie to an adult. If you think you are a good fit for Dottie, I look forward to hearing from you. Serious inquiries only, please. Thank you.
