Zip is a 6yr old Kentucky Mountain gelding standing 14.1 hands. His short stature allows us shorter ladies to mount from the ground, but he has nice dense bone structure and healthy solid round feet capable of carrying a little larger rider down the trails. Zippy enjoys the trails and has always handled every terrain well. He is in a mixed herd at home and gets along with everyone—out by day and sheltered at night. He was ridden barefoot in Florida this past winter and has a set of key shoes for the rocky terrain of the hills here. He is respectful of space on the trail and good alone or with other horses. He is well-suited for an avid trail rider with intermediate horsemanship skills. From the “between the ears” trail videos you can see he can walk on a loose rein or pick up and move out a bit … He is ready when you are!! There’s lots of trail season left to enjoy to the north, south, east or west!!
