βHES GOT HOT WHEELSβ is a 5 year old registered Appaloosa gelding. He is sorrel with a beautiful blanket and stands 15.2 hands tall with a great conformation to him. He is stout built and very athletic both to look at and to ride. Wheels has the very best nature to him. He is super gentle to both handle and ride and is quiet and calm. Wheels has a variety of experience under his belt as he has been used for many things from trail riding to ranch riding to countless hours used in the arena to pin back cattle. His beautiful looks, sweet demeanor and friendly personality are just icing on the cake!
In the indoor and outdoor arenas, Wheels knows his job and is very experienced. Wheels came from a friend of ours who is a performance horse trainer that had owned Wheels a year prior to us owning him. This trainer has spent a great amount of time training Wheels to ride the correct way, and it shows. He will neck rein, one step lope the correct way and he has the smoothest, easiest lope you will find anywhere, all while being collected. He will take the correct leads both ways and has a big stop and a nice back. He will turn 360 circles both ways as well with ease and precision. He works great off of leg pressure and side passes both ways as well. He is very soft in the mouth and face and is both gentle and responsive.
On the trail, Wheels is confident, safe and surefooted. Wheels is an exceptional trail horse! He has had extensive trail riding experience and is a trail horse deluxe! Heβs been trail ridden many miles by our entire family. He will go up and down steep hills with ease, through mud, ditches and deep water, over logs and through brush. Wheels is the same steady ride on all types of terrain, from rough and rocky to wet and sandy- he has seen and ridden all of it!
Around the ranch, Wheels has been uses to check fences and pastures. Heβs been used to check, move, sort and catch cattle. He is no stranger to work and has a willing to please attitude in whatever job you give him. He is also familiar with other livestock and barn pets. The goats, dogs and cats that run in and out of the stall with him never phase him and he gets along well.
Wheels is easy to catch, he is clean and quiet in the stall and gets along in the pasture. He stands tied patiently and for the farrier. He stands to be tacked up and mounted and he also loads and hauls great. He loves grooming and a bath and is super well behaved.
Wheels is also familiar with tarps, whips, and guns. Wheels has been ridden to and through town, and is completely traffic safe.
