Meet Turtle - a laid-back, stunning, gentle, gentle giant that does a little bit of everything and can do it with any level of rider. Turtle is broke to drive, he is broke Western & English, has been started over fences, is an absolutely solid trail mount, and he is kid tested and mom approved!
Turtle is an absolutely stunning dapple gray that is a very big guy, standing 17.1 with a size 8 hoof (he is currently barefoot). He is friendly and enjoys attention, grooming, and all the loves. Our 2 year old daughter leads him all over, and he will lower his head for her to pet/kiss on. Our 6 year old son can EASILY ride him anywhere and has a blast doing it!
Turtle is a rock solid trail mount and has been hauled to our ranch. He is very unflappable, chill, confident, and laid back. He will go all day and doesnβt mind leading or following. He absolutely loves the water (he will take himself swimming in our tank). He has been exposed to cattle and the crazy everyday life of kids, animals, traffic, etc., and is laid back about it all.
Turtle rides English and has been lightly started over fences. He is easy and straightforward and will jump anything. He has beautiful gaits and an amazing jog that is very easy to sit. He will stand for the mounting block. He has natural collection and is soft in the face. He would make an excellent fox hunter!
Turtle has good ground manners, is easy to catch, gets along with everything, hauls well, and stands well for the farrier. He is super easy to have around and a total puppy dog type guy. He is the definition of a gentle giant and a great all around family horse. He has always been the same horse no matter how often he is ridden.
Turtle is sound, straight-legged, and UTD and sells with a current PPE. FMI, call/text Chanel with Holland Horse Company at - Phone number removed - We are happy to answer questions, schedule a test ride, and help arrange shipping nationwide.
