She’s also been ridden in traffic and is completely safe around cars, semis, logs, and dump trucks. If you’re looking for a smooth ride, True’s 4-beat gait is a dream for anyone to enjoy without straining your back. She has a super canter, pretty fast for a gaited horse so will get you places in a hurry if needed. Not only does she have the looks, but she’s also got the moves! True does well in a mixed herd with proper introduction and does what you ask of her. She has been around horses, donkeys, cows, goats, dogs and cats. She is super with the farrier, loves to be groomed, wickers for treats when she sees you. She will stand for a mounting block, fence or stoop to get on.
We have had her for several months now and the reason for selling is she is too tall for me and has more go than I want. I really need just a plug and she likes to go explore. My husband has ridden her and she had had 6 weeks off and had just too much go for me. No buck, rear, or biting. Trail horse deluxe as you will see in the video. I have pics of her last fall and then in her winter coat from our place. We have pulled her shoes and she does fine barefoot here. With more reining training she would be a great ranch horse as she isn't afraid of livestock. She does take a bit to warm up to a new place, but we found spending time with her settled her right in.
