"Tex" Chestnut Gelding Quarter Horse

Tex is apx 17 y/o grade QH gelding we have had the pleasure of owning for the past 3 years. Only reason he is being offered is his owner is going into her Senior year with a heavy academic schedule. Tex is suitable for all ages, including grandmas and husbands and he LOVES kids. He is 15.1 and very well muscled. He is happy to do hours of arena work, go down a busy road beside traffic, or hit the trails! He loves water, will w/t/c on correct leads. He is very desensitized to roping, tarps, umbrellas you name it. He gets along in a mixed herd and is very easy to catch. He rides in a Hackamore or snaffle, neck reins like a dream and will drop his head to rein cue. Collects beautifully at a slow canter with a solid stop. We have primarily used him for trails and arena work plus we ride thru busy crowded subdivisions next to our farm and loves to get face pets from lil kiddos! In his past he was used in 4 H. UTD w/vaccines/dental/worming/dental. Farrier Cody Bogard every 6 wks for past 3 yrs. Wears shoes on all 4 for road riding, just done 7/22. Have many many videos I can forward to interested parties.
