Overview:
Rory is not only very handsome and flashy, but he has the coolest personality! He is definitely calm, cool, and collected. Rory has a gently soul, aims to please, comfortable to ride, naturally talented, curious about life, and just a love. I really do not want to sell this horse, but I can't give him the time and attention he needs with my busy work life.
History:
Rory began his career on the track. He had 7 starts and 0 placings making him too slow, so he was sold to venture into the hunter/jumper world.
As a 4yo he spent an entire season fox hunting with Sierra Nevada Hounds as a field master horse. This was a big job for a new/young horse to hunting, but he succeeded with confidence.
For the last year he has been in part-time H/J training. The focus has been mostly on flatwork as I do not believe in over jumping young horses. He is now schooling 2'3-2'6", working on grids, and learning flying changes. In 2025 he went to three schooling shows and brought home ribbons from each one. He has competed in x-rail hunters and 2' low hunters. He remains super cool in the show environment.
Additional Info:
Rory loves to go on adventures away from the arena. We spend time going on trail rides, horse camping, and have attended clinics.
Clipping is not his favorite thing to do as he is very sensitive to the touch.
Rory is seeking a kind, committed, lifetime partner that will provide quality care.
