Shot is a stunning 4-year-old, 15 hand draft cross gelding with brains, beauty, athleticism, and an outstanding disposition. Home-raised and with us since he was a yearling, this special guy has been thoughtfully started and brought along the right way. He is a unique blend of ¼ Friesian, ¼ Quarter Horse, ¼ Shire, and ¼ Andalusian, and somehow manages to take the very best qualities from each breed. Truly 100% amazing.

Shot is athletic, soft, and naturally balanced with beautiful carriage and an eye-catching presence wherever he goes. He has smooth, floaty transitions, a comfortable way of moving, and a willing attitude that makes him a joy to ride. He is easy to guide, responsive and soft without being overly-sensitive, and forgiving enough for riders who are still learning. He has been used for lessons for experienced kiddos and has proven himself to be patient, tolerant, and dependable while still being fun and engaging for riders that like to do more advanced things.

Out on the ranch, Shot has helped with everyday chores, worked cattle, and handled new situations with confidence and maturity beyond his years. On the trail, he is excellent in a group setting, rides quietly with others, and is content leading, following, or riding in the middle of the pack. He is surefooted, sensible, and takes new obstacles and environments in stride.

Shot's personality is what makes him so special. He absolutely loves attention, enjoys interacting with people, and is always willing to try something new. He has learned several party tricks, including laying down, and genuinely seems to enjoy the learning process. His trainable mind and eagerness to please make him the type of horse that gets better every time you work with him.

With his athletic ability, movement, and willing nature, Shot has unlimited potential. He could easily continue as a dependable family horse, lesson horse, ranch partner, or trail companion, but he also has all the ingredients to excel as an eventer, foxhunter, dressage horse, working equitation prospect, or just about any direction his next owner chooses. He is easy to live with and handle, stands well for grooming, saddling, bridling, bathing, and is the first one by the gate each morning. Shot is current on dental work, chiropractic care, farrier, worming, and Coggins.
