Shorty is a finished, seasoned, many times won on, team roping heel horse. He has been both tied on and dallied on. He has been ridden in the pasture to gather cattle also; but is more at home in an arena. He is sound, legs are clean and has good feet and teeth. Originally a registered reining horse, a friend of ours acquired Shorty when his owner from Ca. didn’t pay his vet bill, and that’s also why we didn’t acquire his papers approx 15 years ago now. We put our then 4 yo daughter on Shorty in a round pen. I have the video if you’d like to see it. For the last 12 years or longer another very consistent 4 plus heeler friend of ours has been heeling on Shorty, winning and paying us 1/4 net. I have many videos of him heeling on Shorty. I am primarily a header, so don’t heel in competition, and thus Shorty being heeled on by our friend was the highest and best use for Shorty. We both have taken extremely good care of Shorty while in our possession. Our heeler friend last year was provided with a new young heel horse to finish for and by one of his partners so Shorty came back to our place. Shorty has some good years remaining so we’d like to sell him to someone who will use him and give him a good home.
