Scooter is an extremely handsome 5 year old AQHA dapple gray gelding standing 15 hands tall, and he is truly a joy to have around. This gelding is as versatile as they come with the kind of mind, disposition, and ability that’s hard to find.
Scooter is excellent on the trail and dependable on the farm. He is safe and gentle enough to go slow and take care of an inexperienced rider, yet he will step up and move out nicely for a more advanced rider when asked. He has been exposed to just about everything imaginable including cattle, traffic, trains, motorcycles, dogs, and large crowds, and he handles it all with confidence and a quiet mind.
He has been ridden on large trail rides through national parks, crossed rivers, carried flags at youth and open rodeos, participated on drill teams, and you can even shoot off of him. Scooter would make an outstanding mounted shooting prospect. He has also been used in the feedlot doctoring cattle and calves. He knows what a rope is and does not spook or shy around it.
Scooter is built right with thick-made confirmation, straight legs, and a strong, durable body. He requires no maintenance or medications and stays sound and ready to go. Leave him standing in the stall for a week and he will ride off just as quiet and gentle as ever.
On the ground, Scooter is kind, respectful, and easy to handle. He gets along well with other horses in the herd and has excellent ground manners. He stands like a statue for the farrier and veterinarian.
Under saddle, Scooter is exceptionally smooth-gaited with a slow, collected lope that is absolutely a pleasure to ride. He has been shown in Ranch Horse Pleasure and 4-H Western Pleasure and has also been used in western riding lessons for riders of all ages and skill levels.
Scooter is the kind everyone looks for — safe, versatile, good-minded, attractive, and experienced. A true unicorn gelding that is 100% in every way.
