Rooster is a handsome bay overo Paint Pony colt that was born and raised on our farm. He has been handled regularly since birth and has developed into a friendly, curious young colt with a willing disposition and a good mind. Rooster is still a colt and has not been gelded.
Rooster has been exposed to horses, mules, donkeys, cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, dogs, cats, tractors, ATVs, and other everyday farm activity. He takes these experiences in stride and is accustomed to the unexpected sights and sounds of a busy environment.
Rooster is easy to catch, leads well, loads in a trailer, stands well for the farrier, and genuinely enjoys attention. As a young colt, he is still learning and developing, but he has consistently shown a quiet, sensible attitude and is enjoyable to work around.
He has been raised by his dam in a herd environment and allowed to mature naturally with plenty of room to grow, play, and develop correctly. We believe giving young horses the opportunity to be horses has contributed to his confidence, soundness, and good temperament.
Rooster is sound, has good feet, and possesses attractive, balanced conformation. His bay overo coloring and eye-catching markings give him plenty of presence, while his overall build makes him look more like a small horse than a typical pony.
