River has been consistently ridden around the hills of Missouri all winter and is ready to head on down the trail with you! We just completed a confidence clinic with Tim Brock Horsemanship this April. You can see lots of footage from this fun event in the video.
She gaits nicely on a loose rein and has an amazing foxtrot!! Due to her age, we just started working on loping this spring, but as you can see in the video she is picking it up. She is pretty laid back when playing around in the arena or following another horse on the trail. If you want to lead a trail ride or ride out alone, River is your girl, but she has more pep in her step for those adventures! She slides over to be mounted, stands still, and walks off calmly when asked. She’ll cross whatever is needed out on the trails. She’s crossed down trees, navigated through mud, and loves to splash through the river. She also does just fine with some time off between riding.
River does great out in her pasture of friends, loads great in the trailer and has been hauled from Missouri to Southern Louisiana on several occasions. She settles nicely in a stall when visiting new places. She is good for the farrier and the vet. She had her teeth floated, dewormed, and annual shots, to include rabies, this April. She has really good feet and doesn’t need shoes, but I like to keep fronts on her due to all the rocks Missouri likes to grow! She last saw the farrier and got new fronts on 15Apr.
River is a hard one to let go of, but I can’t keep them all! Come meet her and try her out. You will enjoy riding her and want to take her home!
