"Riddick" Bay Gelding Quarter Horse

Riddick is a 8 year old grade QH gelding stands about 14.3 . Just had his feet and teeth done UTD on all shots and was just wormed June 1st. He was purchased from a friend that owns a boarding barn. The horse was abandoned he was in a stall for over a year , only turned out occasionally. The owner of the barn said a 12 year old boy rode him around the property. I bought him to save him from going to the sale barn. He is sweet natured , Great ground manners stands tied, stands great for farrier, stands to be tacked , Stood like a champ when we did his teeth -NO sedation was required! Stands for baths Loads and hauls fine. Now the bad , He doesn't stand still to be mounted , he doesn't freak out or anything just gets to walking while your trying to mount. He also does not like the bit. He will take one easily and keep it on all day but when you go to try and turn him he throws his head and wants to go where he wants to go. Which is why I had his teeth done, even after that he keeps doing it. We only floated his teeth so maybe be another problem IDK. We did ride him with just reins on his halter and he did do better but he still had times where he wanted to go where he wanted. He will not buck wont rear or bolt he is just STUBBORN! he is not spooky at all either. I just don't have the time or the patience so I'm just asking for what I have into him w teeth feet etc. 2k come get him put some work into him and u have yourself a great horse or a nice profit!! He needs nothing but wet saddle pads and a firm hand. Don't message me asking me if your 8 year old can ride him he absolutely can if you walk around holding him like a lead line pony once you turn him loose he's just going to walk where he wants.
