R IMAGE OF MR 2021 Bay Overo Gelding • 15.1 Hands • Double Registered APHA & AQHA There’s plenty to admire when you first see him, but this gelding has a lot more going for him than a pretty set of papers and a beautiful coat. R Image Of Mr is a striking 15.1-hand bay overo gelding with the kind of presence that makes you stop and take another look. He is double registered APHA and AQHA, beautifully put together, and at just five years old already has a nice amount of experience behind him. What we really enjoy about him is his willing nature. He wants to get along, pays attention to his rider, and approaches his work with a good attitude. He’s the type you can take to the arena, head out down the trail or simply saddle up for an enjoyable ride. In the arena, he rides really nice. He walks, trots and lopes both directions, listens to your seat and hands, stops, backs, and moves willingly where you ask him. He has a nice feel without making you work for every little thing. You can ask him to ride around and pay attention, or you can drop your hand and simply enjoy him. We believe a horse needs to see more than the four walls of an arena, and R Image Of Mr has had plenty put in front of him. He has worked through flags, tarps, bridges, pool noodles, tires, logs, water crossings, and dragging objects. Different sights, sounds and movement have been part of his riding, and we like the sensible way he handles what is presented to him. He’s also a really enjoyable horse out on the trail. He’ll head through hills, rocks and brush, negotiate uneven ground, cross water, step over logs, and work his way through tighter country. He watches where he puts his feet and walks out nicely. Whether you’re riding through open country or picking your way along a trail, he’s willing to go where you point him. He has also been exposed to the everyday things you can run into away from home—traffic, dogs, bicycles, pedestrians, wildlife and general commotion. All of those miles and experiences have helped make him a well-rounded young gelding rather than one that has only ever ridden circles in an arena. His pedigree is another nice part of the package. His papers carry respected names including RH Mr Imprint, Special Chocolate, Kid Act, Kid Clu and Coosa, giving him proven show-horse breeding behind his size, color and presence. And with both APHA and AQHA registration, he has the papers to match the horse. On the ground, he is pleasant to be around and easy to handle. He stands tied, tacks up quietly, bathes, clips, loads and hauls well, and stands for the farrier. Those everyday manners matter just as much to us as how one rides. There’s a lot you could choose to do with this gelding, but you don’t have to have big plans to appreciate him. If you simply want a beautiful, well-bred horse to ride in the arena and enjoy down the trail, he can certainly fill that role too. At five years old, his whole life is ahead of him, but don’t confuse his age with a lack of experience.
