"Pie" Grey Gelding Missouri Fox Trotter

Meet Chances Taffy Major, affectionately known as Pie!

If you’re looking for a big, beautiful, well-seasoned horse with the heart of a sweetheart and a disposition that’s getting harder and harder to find, Pie deserves your attention. He’s the kind of horse that makes you fall in love with riding all over again. Strong, willing, and capable, yet kind, gentle, and genuinely enjoyable to be around. I often call him my Western unicorn, because horses like him are something special!

Size & Disposition: Standing a generous 15.3 hands, Pie has the size and substance to comfortably accommodate a variety of riders. But what really makes him special is his gentle nature. He has a kind eye, a wonderful disposition, and is always one of the first to greet you when you walk out into the pasture. He’s the kind of horse you look forward to seeing every day. There’s just something about his sweet personality that makes him hard not to love.

Trail & Camping Experience: Pie has been hauled all over and has enjoyed several camping trips, giving him plenty of opportunities to get out, see the country, and experience life beyond the home pasture. He’s a horse you can take along for the adventure, whether that means a weekend camping trip, exploring new trails, or simply enjoying a beautiful day in the saddle. He’s well-traveled and has the experience to make those outings that much more enjoyable.

Gait & Riding Experience: Pie has a naturally smooth Fox Trot and flat-foot walk, along with a canter when you ask for it. Whether you prefer a relaxed ride at a comfortable walk or want to cover ground in his smooth natural gait, he offers a comfortable, enjoyable experience. He’s strong and willing, with a good work ethic and a kind disposition that make him a pleasure to ride.

Manners & Versatility: One of Pie’s greatest qualities is his willingness to please. He’s the kind of horse that makes you feel like you have a partner, not just a ride. And if you happen to leave the bridle behind? No problem! Pie is happy to go along without it. He has the kind of easygoing nature and trustworthiness that make him such a special horse to have around.
