Patrón! Everyone likes a good shot of tequila! You’re guaranteed to like this Patrón too! This is a prime aged gelding that has miles and miles of experience on the ranch in real life scenarios. His experience on the ranch has made him a solid citizen that will excel anywhere from the ranch to the roping pen to the show pen.

Patrón is a very trained gelding with a lot of ride and cow. He is user friendly and always a pleasure to ride. He travels out well outside, lopes circles both directions, has a great stop and turnaround, stays soft and in the bridle and doesn’t require constant tuning to stay broke.

On the ranch Patrón has seen miles of country and has been used in every aspect of ranch work possible. He has checked fences and prowled cattle, gathered off of big places, roped and doctored cattle in the pasture, sorted in the pens and more. He is extremely cowy and fun to sort on. He tracks in really well to rope one on and handles cattle well. He has seen all kinds of terrain being used outside and is sure footed. He will ride and pick his way through anything you point him at whether it be thick woods, rocky terrain, boggy ground, water etc.

We feel he would excel exceptionally well in the roping pen. He would also excel as a sorter or a ranch versatility show horse. The options are endless with a broke and able gelding like Patrón. Don’t have aspirations for the show pen or the roping pen? No worries! Continue to use him on the ranch or ride him down the trail. His experience outside on the ranch has given him a background that makes him suitable for absolutely anything.

Patrón has never offered to do anything out of turn. Even when left off he has never offered to buck or get squirrely. If he sits a good while he will act a little watchy when you first catch him, but just go about your business as usual there is nothing to it. He sells completely sound and he is easy in every way to handle and have around. Good for the farrier, good to trailer, ties quietly. No silly quirks or habits at all.
