"Rue" is a saintly 5 year old that rides around like your grandma's show horse. If buzzwords like "push style", "consistent", and "broke to death" have been in your ISO ads, this horse is your unicorn.
When I tell you this horse is safe, I mean I've personally had a cinch snap while taking a cow down the fence when this horse was 3, he chose my life over finishing his turn and stopped in his tracks.
Rue has a goofy gelding personality and loves to play with water buckets, jolly balls, your shirt sleeve, ropes, and frankly anything within reach.
If I haven't sold you yet, Rue has been shown extensively through the ARHA the last two years . He has earnings in Ranchmanship, Ranch Reining, and Boxing. This horse single handedly put me on ARHA's top earning professionals list in 2023 after placing 3rd at the ILRHA 3 year old futurity out of 20+ horses. Rue has acquired ROMs in Ranch Boxing, Ranch Reining, and Ranchmanship through the ARHA.
Rue not only excels in the ranch pen, but has also been shown (and won money) at open shows in western pleasure, western riding, and more. He's gorgeous in English tack, and loves to go for long walks on the beach (aka trail riding in the woods). He has no issue with ropes or cattle and loves to have a job.
My clients love him and he teaches lessons to intermediate amateurs and youth frequently.
Rue has been trainer owned and shown his whole life. I've let youth catch ride him and he just goes out and does his job.
Rue has legs as straight as a runway model and my farriers say he has the nicest feet of any horse they work on. I have clean hock x-rays on file for serious buyers.
He stands at 15.1 hands and is registered with APHA and ARHA as OBIS TAKEN THE SILVER. I would love to see him go to a show home, however he would also make a great working ranch horse.
