Melvin is a 9yr old John mule standing the perfect height of 16 hands. We have used him on miles of trails and also had him on overnight trail rides. Melvin stands tied quitely to the highlines and in the crossties or wherever you choose to tie him. We have also ridden Melvin down the main highway into town and he doesnt mind the traffic at all. We have used Melvin to shed hunt up in elk country in all kinds of rough terrian and he will go wherever you point him. Melvin is a solid mount that rides the same way everytime you saddle him. He has no buck or rear nor any kind of funny business. Rides off on a loose rein. We have also taken him to state parks for pleasure riding. We have used Melvin to push cattle from pasture to pasture and he enjoys every minute of it. Melvin also rides good in the arena and picks up both his leads. He has the smoothest walk, trot and canter that I think you could put on one! Melvin also drives double with another horse in the cart. We have exposed him to tarps, bouncy balls and all kinds of obstacles that he just takes it all in stride. Melvin is currently barefoot where you can pick up and trim his feet freehanded. Melvin is up to date on farrier, dewormer and had his teeth done in February. Melvin is sane, sound and ready to move into his forever home!
