Troy is a stocky built 15.2hh, 11 yr old, Sorrel Flax mane and tail Gelding. Troy and his mate (coming soon) came to us from a couple of older gentlemen in Kentucky who were in their 70s. They had owned both horses for several years, and they had traveled and trail-ridden them in multiple states. They were leaving the horse business as winter was too cold and summer was too hot to suit them. Troy has a natural 4-beat gait that is very smooth at all speeds. He has been ridden around farm equipment, ATVs, and noisy tarps. On the trails, he is always great! Troy has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife, such as deer or turkey, or other animals like cows or dogs, and will go anywhere he is asked to. He has ridden many miles in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and encountered every obstacle possible on the trail. He will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and all rough terrain while still being sure-footed. He has been ridden in traffic and is very traffic-safe around cars, semis, logs, and dump trucks. He has a great personality and a great attitude about whatever he is asked to do. Feel free to call Jacob Glover with any questions.
