Margreyrita, as we affectionately call her, is a 14.2-hand AQHA sorrel mare with all the breeding to be one of the greats. She is sired by Docs Metallic Oak, an own son of Metallic Cat tracing back to High Brow Cat, and out of a daughter of Duel Rey.
While Margreyrita was started in cutting, her training was unfortunately halted due to her trainer's passing from cancer. Consequently, she missed out on futurities, and now seeks someone to guide her to her full potential. Margreyrita shows great promise as a breakaway or heel horse, and her versatile skill set could be used as a reined cow horse. She would also just be a great, high bred broodmare.
Beyond her professional training, Margreyrita proves to be an exceptional trail horse, suitable for riders of all skill levels because of her gentle nature. In the arena, she is great at picking up leads and executes smooth transitions with a huge stop. Impressively, Margreyrita rides bridleless and has a super smooth walk, trot, and canter.
Her versatility extends beyond the arena, she confidently navigates various terrains on trails alone or in a group. She has even been ridden on the main highway into town without being fazed by traffic. Margreyrita neck reins, side passes, and is highly responsive to leg cues, making her an easy and enjoyable ride. She has been exposed to bouncy balls, flapping tarps and other obstacles and nothing rattles her, reflecting her safe and dependable nature.
Adaptable to stable or pasture life, Margreyrita maintains good manners, even in a mixed herd. She is up-to-date on farrier visits, deworming, and had her teeth attended to in November. Calmly standing for tacking, mounting, washing, and the farrier, Margreyrita is sound and ready to transition into her forever home!
