"Lil David" Black Gelding Kentucky Mountain

Lil David is an absolutely beautiful 5-year-old Kentucky Mountain Horse gelding standing an impressive 16 hands high. He is a true gentle giant and an absolute joy to be around.

I have owned David since he was 11 months old, and together we have done and seen it all. He is the perfect companion and the definition of a “been there, done that” horse. David has been through every obstacle you can imagine and handles it all with confidence.

He is an excellent trail horse who will ride all day on a loose rein and step up into a smooth rack when asked. He has seen all kinds of wildlife, crosses logs, rivers, creeks, and rough terrain, and is always careful to take care of his rider.

David is dog-safe, traffic safe, stands to mount and dismount with or without a mounting block, and stands quietly to tack, groom, and wash. I have also used him to check heifers during calving season.
