Seasoned on the trail, capable in the arena, and enjoyable for a variety of riders! Laredo offers looks, brains, and dependability. This handsome 14 yr old, Quarter Horse gelding stands 15.1 hands tall and carries himself with the confidence that comes from years of experience.
Laredo has been the kind of horse I can count on. Whether I'm saddling up to mosey down the trails with friends or heading out alone to enjoy the scenery, he is the same reliable partner each ride. He calmly crosses water, carefully picks his way up and down steep inclines, and confidently navigates rough or uneven terrain. The kids enjoy him just as much at home as they do on the trail. My youngest son, who isn't quite ready to ride independently, has ridden double with one of the older kids, giving us further confidence in Laredo's trustworthy demeanor.
In the arena, Laredo is uncomplicated, forgiving, and user-friendly. He offers a smooth trot, a comfortable canter, and travels willingly in both directions on the correct lead. Responsive to leg and seat cues without being overly sensitive, he adapts to varying experience levels. Beyond his riding ability, Laredo is simply an easy horse to own. He can be stalled or live outside full time, gets along well turned out with other horses, and is easy to catch, load, and haul. He enjoys attention, stands quietly for bathing and grooming, and handles visits from the veterinarian and farrier with the same cooperative attitude.
