She will ride around dogs, farm equipment, and through heavy traffic. She will even carry a very busy child with no problems. Lacey does it all on the trails. She crosses timber, ditches/ravines, and water great. She rides over rocks carefully and easily up and down challenging trails. She has been on so many camping trips and does not mind the commotion in the campground. She is quiet in a stall or on picket-lined ground.
She is the easiest to catch. She will walk right up to you in a 100-acre field. She loves attention, whether it’s just pets or a good grooming.
Lacey will walk all day long on the trails with a relaxed rein, or she will gait if asked. She has a very beautiful, smooth way of going. She is a natural.
She is very sure-footed. Her gentle nature makes her a joy to ride. She stands quietly for fly spray, grooming, bathing, tacking, clipping, and mounting. She is very easy to handle under saddle and on the ground.
Lacey will ride in large groups and small groups. It doesn’t matter where she falls in the group. She will lead, ride middle, or follow up the back. She goes out on trails by herself and does great. Lacey is broken to city life, which includes parades or just grabbing a drink. You can ride her one-handed down the trails, eat a snack, or just enjoy the scenery. She follows the trails great.
Lacey loves people and all the attention they give. She stands tied without pawing, loads and unloads great- she backs off on command. She went camping with us on the 4th of July weekend and handled all of the celebrations going on great.
Load noises don’t bother her. You can shoot fireworks off of her.
She packs all sizes of saddle bags and will carry a flag. You can shoot a gun off of her, crawl all over and around her.
Lacey is not mareish and doesn’t mind being crowded by other horses. She gets along great with mares and geldings.
Lacey will side pass to a mounting block, log, rock, truck bed, trailer, etc. She will also park out for easy mounting. She is truly a gentle girl that is always looking to take care of her rider.
