His list of accomplishments is long and distinguished. Kidd is suitable for any ability level of rider, child, or adult. Most recently he has been a favorite in a large lesson and hippotherapy program. He was used to build and grow confidence and ability for a range of ability levels and ages including riders with special needs and physical impairments. He has been trail ridden in multiple states on day trips and overnight rides as well as been to the national chuckwagon races twice to ride and enjoy the show. He has been exposed to everything you can imagine. He is not one to be easily wound up or spooked, in fact I’m not sure there’s much of anything that would worry him at all. He is as solid as they come. He has experience in multiple aspects of both the English and western disciplines and has dabbled in a little bit of everything. He will go under English or western tack. He has been around cattle a lot and has experience in the sorting pen. He has experience of all of the playdays events and knows the patterns. He is not a speed demon on the patterns but is an ideal confidence builder. Kidd is capable of continuing on with his profession as a lesson/hippotherapy horse, will make a wonderful trail partner or just a general all around versatile gelding for your family. No matter your needs he’s sure to make you smile. Kidd is an easy keeper and an absolute gentleman. He stands perfectly for the farrier, stands tied quietly, trailers very well and is well mannered to bathe. The horses that enter our consignment program are thoroughly checked out and tested in every manner possible which allows us to locate any holes or habits each horse may have. We have spent several months with Kidd since he was consigned with us and have tested him in every manner possible from letting him sit for two weeks and riding him right off to ensure he stays gentle, to riding him daily, to hauling him to multiple different venues to ensure he stays reliable in new settings and when exposed to new things. All of these things were done with a 6-year-old youth rider and he was absolutely infallible and perfect in each and every scenario. We could not have asked for better. Kidd is a true unicorn and will make any cowgirl or cowboy whether child or adult very happy by the Christmas tree.
