Joshua is a very, very gentle 11 year-old, 15.3 hand grade quarter horse gelding with matching hind socks and a blaze. This is an extremely good natured and quiet minded gelding that would be the perfect fit as a husband Horse, and for the trail riding enthusiast. He is beginner safe, user-friendly to ride and be around and has been shown in 4-H by youth. He has also been used at the feedlots for sorting cattle, moving cattle and has logged many miles out on the trails.
Joshua has a good one hand neck rein, a smooth traveling and jog and Lopes out on cue. Stops and backs well and will side pass from here to your neighbors house if you ask him to.
Joshua is cool as a cucumber when riding out on our mountain trails. He is outstanding and rock solid to ride out anywhere. He is happy to lead, follow, ride, drag or out alone. Crosses the river, creeks, deadfall, and trail obstacles. He’s equally dependable and surefooted in steep and rocky terrain.
When riding around our hectic neighborhood streets Joshua is utterly unimpressed with the fast passing vehicles of every kind. He could care less about the dogs that charge up at us or the farm animals that we pass by on the street.
This is a confidence builder kind of horse that would be suitable for a lot of folks. He is very good natured and kind. He loves people and attention and will frequently walk up to greet me when I walk out to his pasture. He gets along great turned out with other horses and is equally content being in a smaller pen by himself or a box stall.
Joshua is good to catch, tie, tack, mount, shoe, bathe, load and haul. He has no vices or bad habits, and is an absolute pressure to ride and have around. He is always gentle and stays gentle with time off. This is a safe and sound horse that you will truly enjoy.
