Peppermint’s pedigree is as impressive as her looks. Her sire carries strong Peptoboonsmall influence along with foundation Driftwood and Hancock breeding, while her dam’s sire traces back to Freckles Playboy and Doc Tari. She is bred to perform—and she is already showing natural ability and special movement.
We have been riding her for some time now, and she stands quietly for saddling. She moves off calmly, stops easily without lifting her head, lopes smoothly, jogs softly, and neck reins. She is gentle and trustworthy enough that my 9-year-old granddaughter rides her regularly.
Peppermint is exceptionally kind-natured, with no hint of meanness. She has been ridden by kids since she was two and is easy in every aspect of handling—catching, haltering, leading, loading, bathing, grooming, trimming, saddling, and bridling. She has been saddled and tied for long periods while watching rodeo practice in the arena and remains quiet and relaxed. This filly has had extensive handling and has the fundamentals firmly in place. She is willing, friendly, and curious without being pushy.
Now the fun begins. Peppermint is ready to go to work, eager to learn, and quick to understand new tasks. We’ve taken our time with her, keeping everything calm and positive, and she’s been exposed to equipment and short trail rides with seasoned horses. She’s ready to take the next step—whether that journey continues with us or with you.
