Spicy is a brave and curious horse. I think he would be an excellent candidate for Working Equitation. I currently take him into Elk/Beaver Lake park and he is excellent around dogs (even when they are exited and barking), bikes, strollers, etc. He loves interacting with people.
He is an easy keeper, on a low sugar hay and wears a grazing muzzle when out on pasture. He also does not get any grains – he just gets his supplements/vitamins with soaked timothy pellets.
Spicy has been trained with a natural horsemanship style focus. He should be considered green, due to the lack of miles on him and thus should have a more experienced rider to ensure he has support and guidance for things that he might be unfamiliar with.
He is a very light horse, I have ridden him only with his rope halter and he is very responsive.
He is up to date with deworming, teeth and due to how quickly he grows hoof, he is on a 4 week cycle, in composite shoes.
