“Slim” is a charismatic, triple-registered (AQHA/APHA/PtHA), 2019, 15H, GORGEOUS blue-eyed palomino overo gelding! There is simply no denying that this boy turns heads everywhere he goes. You won’t find one prettier or sweeter in disposition! Not only is Slim drop-dead gorgeous, but he has the personality, brains, rideability, and comfort to match. He is absolutely adorable, with a lovey-dovey, teddy bear personality that makes him impossible not to love. He has never met a stranger and will walk right up to the gate to be caught, greeting you with his friendly, curious, and willing demeanor. He is the kind of horse everyone wants to spend time with!

Slim LOVES a good adventure out on the trail! He will confidently cruise out alone or with a buddy, taking you over obstacles and bridges, through water, and carefully navigating fallen logs along the way. He enjoys pushing cattle in the field and has been exposed to four-wheelers, tractors, and other everyday commotion. We even took him for an outing in town, where he handled the hustle and bustle of traffic beautifully. Slim has ridden at various covered arenas, been shown a handful of times in ranch riding events, and travels excellently off property. One of my favorite things about this boy is his curious, student-like personality. He genuinely wants to learn, interact with his rider, and be a partner in whatever adventure you have planned!

Under saddle, Slim is an absolute DREAMBOAT! He is unbelievably smooth, with a flat-kneed, deep-hocked way of going and an overall beautiful, natural cadence. His favorite gait is his adorable pitter-patter jog, which can be extended into a great ground covering extended trot. His canter is balanced, comfortable, and soft to sit. Slim has a started flying lead change and has also been lightly started over fences, where he has shown some exciting potential.

While we have primarily ridden Slim western in our program, we recently discovered just how naturally talented and adorable he is under English tack and over fences! He is light, floaty, and attractive down the rail, with the kind of movement that makes you want to keep watching him go. He shows promise as an adjustable partner and has been brave approaching fences. With further development, he could be a fun prospect for hunter hack and over-fence classes, in addition to his western pursuits.

Whether your interests include pleasure, horsemanship, ranch riding, trail, hunter hack, hunter under saddle, or exploring the over-fence classes, Slim offers a wonderfully versatile foundation to build upon. Show him in multiple breed registries, take him on weekend trail adventures, or simply enjoy having a beautiful, kindhearted horse to call your own. This is the kind of all-around gelding that gives you options! He is narrow in build (one would call dainty), and not put together like a thick/wide typical quarter horse.

Slim is 5-panel negative. A full set of recent x rays have been taken, and a vet statement of soundness are on file available to view. He is up to date on his Coggins, deworming, farrier, dental, and chiropractic care. He is clean-legged, an easy keeper, and can go barefoot or shod. He loads right up in the trailer, backs out nicely, stands tied in cross-ties, clips, bathes, and is excellent for the farrier and veterinarian. He is respectful on the ground, does well in a stall or pasture, and has never offered any stall vices such as cribbing, weaving, or pacing. Overall, he always wants to be good and deserves the best home.
