This young and bright gelding is proficient in all the maneuvers for the ranch riding or cowhorse classes. “Howie” is insanely smooth, exceptionally comfortable, naturally cowy, and a very pretty mover. Standing 14.2H, this 2020 AQHA registered gelding is packed with decorated sires Mecom Blue, Highbrow Cat, and Haidas Little Pep on his papers. Howie spent over a year in a professional reined cow horse program where he was geared towards the ranch versatility/SHOT classes. He will confidently box and go down the fence and proves to us each day just how kind and good minded he is.

Howie is incredibly FUN and electric to ride! I love his jog to extended trot transitions – it truly sends chills down your spine on how good this guy gets around! He is a natural on a cow, really steps around himself well, and soft in his mouth/sides. You will be smiling ear to ear on this guy! His transitions are crisp, lopes right out of his tracks, he will spin a hole in the ground, side pass, work a gate, and change leads. He LOVES riding outside and has been used to gather/pen cattle on a ranch too. He is very quiet and EXTREMELY amateur friendly for a performance horse. This gelding wants to please his rider and has a huge heart!

Howie never hesitates when being asked to walk through water, over bridges, and he navigates down rough terrain with ease. He never made a wrong step on our obstacle course and will drag a log around with ease! He has been easy and uncomplicated to own over the months, and is our top pick to ride in the barn. We have hauled him off property going to different covered arenas, Thursday roping practice, friends’ houses to ride, and trail outings! He takes the pressure well and rides in new places like a gentleman with his exceptional willingness. Howie is the right size and packs the athletic ability to be a calf horse, breakaway, or heel horse too.

Howie is excellent in a stall, and enjoys turn out too. He has zero stall vices and is a “hang his head out the stall gate” in hopes for love/attention kind of horse. He is easy to catch, stands quiet in the cross ties, loads/unloads, and stands quiet for mounting.

Pre-sale vet statement of soundness on file! Excellent BIG black feet (barefoot upfront sliders on hind), not a single leg scar or injury. Recent dental, coggins, and chiro adjustment.
