DOB: 09/13/2021

Registration: AWSSR (pending performance)

Honey is a stunning, correctly conformed mare who is projected to finish o/a 17H. She is sure to get you noticed with her dappled, golden Palomino coat and plenty of chrome (four white socks and a star to snip).

Bred for excellent confirmation, bone, intelligence and sensibility Honey is now ready to start her career with her lifelong partner. She is a strong, healthy, solid horse who can live indoors or out (with a run-in). She loves attention and new challenges, and is a willing student, brave and bold. She could excel in a variety of English or Western disciplines. We have started her English and feel that she would be well suited as a field hunter, event horse, trail horse or possibly a jumper.

Honey has been handled daily since birth and has mastered all the basic ground skills (easy to catch, loads, ties, bathes, lunges, crossties, quiet for vacuuming and fly spray, stands for farrier/vet, great around dogs and farm equipment, etc.). She began training under saddle in August 2024, with approximately a dozen rides before taking the winter off to grow. Then she was re-started in Spring/Summer of 2025 and spent several months focused on basic groundwork before taking the winter off to continue to mature and grow. Currently standing at 16.3H, she is now back under saddle and has gained the strength and maturity to focus on more difficult tasks – such as balance, bend, framework and transitions. She has been introduced to trail riding – enjoying outings on our farm and taking her first trail rides off the farm where she crossed bridges and creeks (she loves water) without an issue. She has not displayed any bolt, buck or rear behavior. She has been started over trotting poles and a few small obstacles (logs and cross rails) and is a natural. Honey is 100% sound, healthy, and has great feet - currently working barefoot. Her perfect partner would be somebody who is confident as a rider and has experience bringing green horses along (or who has a trainer that can guide them). This is a super all-around, versatile horse that really could go any direction with the right owner/trainer. $29K - Serious inquiries only
